Every lesson builds on the last, turning individual tips into a complete game.
Coach Derek Kedigh
Too many players are left trying to sort through conflicting advice. My goal is to replace that confusion with simple, testable principles that make the game easier to understand.
Learn More→The Approach
Tennis has no universally accepted curriculum.
Two qualified instructors can give opposite advice — leaving students with a collection of contradictory tips.
Players are taught rules without ever being taught why those rules exist.
My goal is to teach ideas that are observable, testable, and connected.

History

I fell in love with tennis at fifteen.
Within a few years I was an all-area high school player, and then a Bearcat at Northwest Missouri State, where I played alongside incredible players from around the world. My freshman year we qualified for the NCAA Division II National Championships. After college I spent more than a decade teaching at clubs and universities across Missouri before making my way to Dallas.
But what has kept me interested in tennis isn't just competition — it's understanding why the game works.
Today I teach at Samuell Grand Tennis Center, working with juniors, adults, beginners, and competitive players who want to build a game they can rely on.
